You may book with the Superintendent Registrar 12 months prior to the marriage date itself.
There are certain legal requirements which need to be discussed and complied with. This will take place between yourselves and the Superintendent Registrar. Goosdale will not be involved in this process.
Only civil, non religious ceremonies can be permitted by the Superintendent Registrar. Readings, music or words which require you to form part of your ceremony must be secular. It is possible to elaborate parts of the wedding ceremony, however these have to be discussed and agreed in advance with the Superintendent Registrar.
Due to legal requirements, food or drink may not be consumed during the service or an hour before it commences.
The Superintendent Registrar will dicuss your charges for the solemnisation of marriages. These are to be paid directly to the Registrar.
